Two "self-extracting" zip files (about 5.3 Mb each extracted) can be downloaded that contain the hourly weather station data. These files are compressed for individual years for 1983 throuh 1989 (hr83t89.exe) and 1990 through 1996 (hr89t96.exe). The 1997 data file (hr1997.dat) is an example of the individual annual files. Below is a sample listing of the hourly meterological data from USDA-ARS, Bushland, Texas. "M" indicates missing data. Precipitation data are not official and may be incomplete during freezing temperatures even though missing data are not indicated. Wind direction sampled at the end of each hour. Other hourly values are hourly averages or hourly totals.
